Artefacto Home: A World Class Showroom Opens in Aventura

It was a celebration bash that rivaled the most glamorous hotel or nightclub opening on South Beach! The grand, invitation-only champagne reception launched Artefacto Home in Aventura. Close to 1000 of society’s best, beautiful and most chic — not only from South Florida but from many other countries — came to toast the momentous occasion.

And none more chic than the gorgeous couple who owns Artefacto, Paulo and Lais Bacchi, both from Brazil. Some of the bold face names there included Indy 500 three-time champion and Dancing With the Stars winner Helio Castroneves, artist Romero Britto (proud fellow Brazilians), developer Gil Dezer and philanthropist Tracy Mourning Wilson.

With superstar DJ Irie spinning that night, the 42,000 showroom was transformed with his electrifying music which captured the crowd’s energy. There were acrobats who dangled from the ceiling, serving the finest champagne from above as more and more friends arrived to celebrate with the Bacchis.

The evening also marked Artefacto’s ten-year anniversary in South Florida, quite an accomplishment for the furniture empire that began in Brazil. Artefacto is one of Brazil’s leading, high-end furniture retailers, founded thirty-six years ago by the Bacchi family.

Visionary Paulo Bacchi has since transformed the industry with contemporary design and an endless inventory that allows homes to be completely furnished in 24 to 48 hours. Since entering the Miami market, the Brazilian-based Artefacto has developed a niche for Artefacto designs and produces its own furniture at the company’s factory in Brazil.

Bacchi’s decision to expand comes as the first quarter of this year marked the company’s highest sales in its U.S. history, driven largely by buyers from Latin America visiting the company’s stores in Aventura and Coral Gables.
