Signature Chefs Gourmet Event for March of Dimes

Talk about heaven. A chance to sample the best dishes from more than 30 of Miami’s top celebrity chefs. It happened at the “Signature Chefs & Wine Extravaganza” for the 13th year in a row. The evening of culinary delights — to benefit the March of Dimes – was held at Jungle Island’s Treetop Ballroom.

Several hundred of Miami’s most enthusiastic foodies and gourmands experienced delicacies from major restaurants like Abokado, Azul at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Chef Allen’s, Emeril’s Miami Beach, Fogo de Chao, Joe’s Stone Crab, Meat Market, Por Fin, Rosa Mexicano, Smith & Wollensky, Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill and many more. It was over-the-top delicious.

Connoisseurs enjoyed favorite and soon-to-be favorite wines from the area’s top wine distributors. Of course, we love that there was a VIP Champagne Reception, held one hour before doors opened to the general public. Limited tickets for that? $250 per person. General admission tickets were $150.

Celebrity chef Sunny Anderson, host of “Cooking for Real” on the Food Network hosted the evening and Maria C. Alonso, Senior Vice President and Miami-Dade/Monroe Manager for Bank of America, was honored for her continuous support of the March of Dimes. The delightful Jackie Nespral, news anchor for NBC 6, was a lively emcee.

Alongside the many fabulous auction items, this year’s event image, “Swiss Cheese” was created (and donated) by renowned Pop Artist and philanthropist Romero Britto. Always a fun addition! All proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.
