The grand opening of the Breguet watches boutique celebrated the luxury watchmaker’s newest U.S. location in Bal Harbour of course. It comes in the wake of boutique openings in New York on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue, as well as one in Beverly Hills. Breguet president Michael Nelson flew in to host the invitation-only champagne reception. South Florida VIPs and loyal Breguet customers, many from out of town, were given a preview of an exclusive selection of the latest Breguet creations.
Known as the world’s number-one luxury watchmaker, Breguet is establishing itself in Miami with the refined, 750-square-foot space that pays homage to Swiss watch making traditions and classic pieces. Over the years, Breguet has crafted custom timepieces for many of the world’s most celebrated historic figures and royalty, including King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, Napoleon, Queen Victoria, Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein and composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
During the cocktail, Master Engraver for Manufacture Breguet, Stephane Aubert, demonstrated the fine art of engraving, a hallmark of the Breguet brand.
