Birkins & Kellys & H Belts, Oh My! Design District Hermès Opens!

We are absolutely giddy with excitement that the first Hermès boutique opened Saturday in the Miami Design District, the brand’s exclusive retail location in Miami.

The grand, 5,000 square-foot boutique, located at 175 NE 40th Street in the heart of the Design District, is a temporary location that will house the brand’s ultra-luxe goods until construction of a major Hermès Miami Flagship store is completed. The permanent location is scheduled to open in late 2014.

Local fashionistas, labelistas and their international counterparts will be able to lust over an extensive, exclusive offering of Hermès’ hand-crafted products. This expanded assortment of products includes all Hermès métiers in the Women’s, Men’s and Home Universe, including women’s and men’s ready to wear, fine jewelry, swim, fragrances, handbags, shoes, fashion accessories, fine leather goods, silk scarves and ties, professional equestrian products, home furnishings, furniture, porcelain, silver and crystal.

Robert Chavez, President and CEO, Hermès of Paris Inc. said, “Hermès is delighted to become a centerpiece of the rapidly expanding Miami Design District shopping district. We are confident in Craig Robins’ innovative vision of a dynamic new retail destination in South Florida. We see the development of the Design District as the focal point for a contemporary convergence between art, design and fashion reflecting the diverse, changing landscape of this exciting city.”
