A select group of Miami’s most fashionable socialistas got the chance to preview Lanvin’s 10th anniversary Winter 2012 collection at the Lanvin boutique in Bal Harbour Shops. In what can only be called a record in the recent fashion world, Alber Elbaz, the creative genius behind Lanvin, celebrated his tenth anniversary at the helm of the legendary fashion house.
Hosts Susanne Birbragher and Carolina Argiz Orozco along with Lanvin and Vogue magazine presented the exclusive viewing of the collection, which also included shoes and handbags. There were also spectacular jeweled evening clutches which were taken from original designs from Lanvin’s archives dating back over a century.
Elbaz’ 10th anniversary collection for Lanvin earned rave reviews. Style.com listed it as fourth among their top 10 collections. The collection is a compilation of strong, sculpted shapes, flirty dresses, some ruffles and draping, dramatic beading, touches of lace and baroque jeweled touches on vibrant colors. Perfect for our Miami society girls who do love to make a dramatic entrance.
A percentage of proceeds from the evening were donated to benefit the FIU-Frost Art Museum in honor of their 35th Anniversary.
