“It’s All About the Kids” for St. Jude Celebrates Five Years

The Friends of St. Jude (FOSJ) Miami, a group of young professionals who raise awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission held their 5th annual “It’s All About the Kids” event, presented by International Dermatology and the Andres Asion Foundation. Andres Asion who is a well-known philanthropist and power player in the real estate world, also gives a lot of his time to worthy causes and the event is always very creative and a lot of glamorous fun.

This year was no different with the Cirque-Chic themed fundraiser. It was held at the JW Marriott Marquis in Downtown Miami. After a lively red carpet, guests went upstairs for cocktails and plenty of mingling.

During the event, guests enjoyed an exquisite French-inspired menu and delicious cocktails, donated by Kettle One Vodka, while dancing the night away to special music performances by The Culture Band and DJ Irie.

The event was hosted by television personalities Pamela Silva Conde, anchor of Univision Network’s afternoon news magazine Primer Impacto and ABC Local 10 sports director and anchor Will Manso.

Olympic gymnast Danell Leyva received a special recognition for his accomplishments in the world of sports and for his remarkable work supporting aspiring children athletes in the South Florida community.

For the fifth consecutive year, International Dermatology serves as the event’s title sponsor, and for the third consecutive year, Andres Asion Foundation serves as the presenting sponsor. Funds specifically benefitted children battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

About St. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Since opening 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and for every child treated, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life.
