Saks Bal Harbour Hosts Bisang Furs Fashion Show at St. Regis

It figures that one of the chicest couples you’ve ever seen is the designing duo behind Bisang furs – the chicest furs that have come down a runway in recent memory.

The Zurich-based Andre and Lisa Bisang showcased their latest collection of fur coats
and jackets at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort & Residences during a ladies’ luncheon hosted by Deborah Slack, VP-GM of Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour for some of the store’s most fashionable, discerning clients.

The Bisangs met in Paris in their early twenties, where Lisa, who was born in Denmark was a fashion designer working for the legendary couturier, Courreges. Andre was from a furrier family in Zurich also working in fashion. Soon after, the couple moved to Zurich and revolutionized his family business with new manufacturing techniques and edgy designs.

This year’s Bisang collection emphasizes a slim, relaxed, clean look. The line is driven by the idea that less is more when it comes to making a woman feel attractive. Lengths are no longer a priority. The predominant colors were earth tones, beiges, and browns, together with some attractive jewel-tones in a palette of natural colors.

The Bisangs mix materials effortlessly to create a modern look for any woman, any age. The luncheon was followed by a trunk show at The Fur Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour, where at last count, the many fashion-savvy fans of the Bisangs were snapping up the deliciously colored, sculpted furs. Overheard from one fur customer to another: “These coats are like potato chips, I can’t have just one!” We agree.
