Getting Noticed in the Miami Cocktail Crowd!

It seems that most of Miami society gatherings require a dress of some sort. And our socialistas love them: Knee length… mini… tea length… asymmetrical hem. Whether cocktails or luncheons — and there are many — choosing the best dress with which to make an entrance is an art form. Color and interesting details are a must to be noticed. Unlike other cities, Miamians can get away with color year round. J’adore.

And crucial fashion tip: the shorter you go, the better your legs must be, like our very fabulous Chic to Chic best dressed ladies this week.

Our cover girl is Univision Network superstar “El Gordo y La Flaca” show host, Lili Estefan in a cobalt blue, Aidan Mattox with horizontal pleating and YSL shoes at Nora Bulnes’ birthday lunch, Saks Dadeland; Josette Wys-Katz stands out in a bright yellow Battenberg lace Luis Antonio at Miami City Ballet’s opening night; Ana Wolfington is in a seemingly simple white, Parker dress with divine, vertical mini pleats at St. Jude “For the Children” and Katina Taylor glows in an emerald green Roberto Rodriguez with an asymmetrical, ruffled shoulder detail at Fashion’s Night Out at Village of Merrick Park.

Make an impact. It’s all about the details. We love to watch.
